Who is COMSERV Posse?

The COMSERV Posse, one of at least 50 different posses within the MCSO program, is composed of men and women who are willing to give of their time, talents and resources to support the Sheriff’s Office.  Our posse is comprised of folks just like you who volunteer to fulfill many of the roles handled by full-time sworn deputies, freeing them for tasks that require their law enforcement skills.  COMSERV members are generally not content to play a passive role in life.  Instead, they continue to devote more and more of their time and talents to making a difference.  They “get involved” for the betterment of their community.  And, because posse members are effective spokespersons in the their neighborhoods for the support of law enforcement, their presence provides full-time officers with more insight into all segments of the county’s population.  Trained COMSERV posse members can work solo or alongside deputies in many aspects of the MCSO operation.  With our dedication and superb training, a number of our members have been singled out by MCSO leadership for the devotion and excellent performance!
